Woodlem Park Kindergarten: Nurturing Young Minds in a Caring Environment

At Woodlem Park School Al Jurf, our Kindergarten program is designed to be a vibrant and engaging introduction to the world of learning. We believe that every child is unique, and our curriculum is crafted to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. We are dedicated to providing a strong foundation that prepares them for future academic and personal success. We follow the best practices from Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum Framework of England which is inline with our CBSE curriculum. The Foundation stage curriculum focuses on Prime and Specific Learning areas.

Exploratory Learning

Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning. Through interactive activities, children explore foundational concepts in Literacy, Numeracy, and Understanding the world. From counting colorful blocks to experimenting with simple machines, each activity is tailored to spark imagination and encourage exploration.

Literacy and Language Development

We lay the groundwork for reading and writing through a balanced approach. Children engage in storytelling, phonics activities, and interactive reading sessions.

Our goal is to build a strong foundation in language skills while making reading a lifelong joyful experience.

Numeracy

Numeracy is introduced through play-based activities that involve sorting, patterning, and number sense.

By integrating counting concepts into everyday activities,
we help children develop problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards math.

Creative Arts and Expression

Creativity is at the heart of our curriculum. Through art, music, and movement, children express themselves and explore different forms of communication. Our art projects, music sessions, and dance activities help develop fine motor skills and foster self-expression.

Social and Emotional Learning

We prioritize building strong social and emotional foundations. Our program includes activities that promote cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation. By working together in group activities and discussions, children learn to navigate social interactions and build positive relationships.

Physical Development

Physical activity is integral to our curriculum. Through both structured and free play, children develop gross motor skills, coordination, and an appreciation for physical fitness.
Our outdoor play areas and indoor movement activities ensure that children have ample opportunities to stay active.

Exploring the World

We incorporate themes and projects that explore different cultures, seasons, and environments. These themes help broaden children’s understanding of the world around them and foster an appreciation for diversity.

Parental Involvement

We believe that family involvement is key to a child’s success. We regularly share updates and offer opportunities for parents to engage in classroom activities, ensuring a collaborative approach to each child.
